Holiday Labeling Mega Pack

Hello Blogger Friends,

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday break. My Kindergarten Kiddos LOVE to label. They label anything and EVERYTHING! I just love reading their phonetic writing! They love labeling sooo much that I created this holiday labeling mega pack. Please be sure to enter the contest at the bottom of this blog post for a chance to win this Mega Pack for free!

This pack includes labeling for all of the major holidays! I have included pages for New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, the Patriotic Holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.

I mostly use these sheets as morning work or center work. I have my students label the drawing, color the drawing, color the border (this is a must in my class :-), and then turn the paper over and write sentences using the words they labeled.

Here are some examples of the labeling pages my students have done:

This Mega Pack is available at my TPT Store as well as my Teachers Notebook Store.

Fall Leaf Exchange

For the past two years, I have organized a leaf exchange. It has been a success each year. Here is how it works:

One leaf (laminated or placed between wax paper) will be sent out to all participants. In the past two years there has been between  35- 50 participants. Your leaf can be any leaf from any tree in your area.

Included with the leaf should be one or two facts about your leaf/and or school. Many participants also included a picture of their class. Leaves are sent out in late September through November.

If you would like to participate please sent me a message or you email me at dmastand@hotmail.com

Mr. Wiggles Book Care Craftivity

If you are anything like me you LOVE books and want to do your best to teach your students the importance of taking care of books. Every year I do a unit on book care and why it is important to take care of the books we read. I usually do this within the first few weeks of school and we revisit this important topic mid school year.

My mom teaches Second grade and got me hooked on collecting children's picture books while I was still in college. I have a large classroom library and cherish every last one of my books.

I always start off by reading Mr. Wiggles with my students. I was lucky enough to snatch  up a blow up Mr. Wiggles last summer and I absolutely love it! There are many other useful books I use to teach my students the importance of taking care of books. I created a Mr. Wiggles Craftivity. Included in this pack are graphic organizers, book marks, a craft, book care pledge, suggested reading materials and more.

Product Swap: Ice Cream Cone Ordering Numbers

I joined Jessica Stanford's Product Swap linky party.

MrsStanfordsClass
I am excited to share with you the product I received from my product swap partner Sue Lattea. I am always looking for creative things to use in my math instruction and Sue's Ice Cream Cone Ordering Numbers 0-20 is a perfect to use in math centers and what kid doesn't love ice cream?! (Check out Sue's blog below):

Sue's pack comes with three colored sets of ice cream scoops with numbers 0-20 on them. This pack also offers the ice cream scoops in black and white, which is nice if you have a black and white printer or you want to save on ink. I love that she added four recording sheets that students can complete, two of these sheets are shown below.

I plan on placing magnets on the back of these scoops and allowing students to use them on our magnetic whiteboard. Here are a few pics. of what is offered in this pack.
